Book Review: War Horse

"War Horse" by Michael Morpurgo is an incredible book! It's about a horse named Joey who goes on a big adventure during World War I. Joey starts off on a farm with his best friend Albert, but then he gets sold to the army and has to go to war.

I enjoyed reading this book because Joey is so brave and never gives up, even when things are scary. The author makes you feel like you're right there with Joey, feeling all his emotions. There are sad parts, but also happy moments and lots of excitement. I like books that have a mix of both.

I would give "War Horse" five out of five stars because it's one of the best books I've ever read! It made me feel so many different things, and I think other kids would love it too. It's a story about friendship, courage, and never giving up!

This book got me on to reading more books by Michael Morpurgo but War Horse remains my favourite book written by him.
